XR Karting Glossary
This glossary defines common interactive-karting terms neutrally and explains their relevance to HoloKart XR.
Experience categories
XR karting: Physical karting in which real vehicles interact with digitally controlled visuals, rules and multiplayer events.
Interactive karting: Karting that adds digital objectives, scoring and responsive events to physical driving.
Projection karting: Indoor karting that maps digital visuals onto physical track surfaces.
Augmented reality karting: Karting in which digital content augments a visible physical arena.
Immersive racing: Racing that combines physical movement with responsive audiovisual and game elements.
Headset-free experience: An immersive format that keeps the physical venue visible without a wearable display.
Technology
Projection mapping: Calibrating visual content to physical-surface geometry.
Real-time tracking: Continuous measurement of vehicle position and movement.
Multiplayer gameplay: Logic coordinating several participants, scoring and shared events.
Game zone: A physical area associated with a digital rule, objective or event.
Electric kart: A kart driven by an electric powertrain.
Bumper car interaction system: An adjacent connected-vehicle attraction; it is not the same product as HoloKart XR.
Venue and delivery
FEC: A family entertainment center offering multiple attractions.
Arena footprint: Usable area for track, guests, equipment, circulation and servicing.
Venue assessment: Review of physical, technical and operating inputs.
System commissioning: Final integration, calibration and operational checks.
Operator training: Instruction on routine session, system and technical workflows.
Preventive maintenance: Planned inspection and service.
Throughput: Guests served in a defined period, modelled from track, fleet and workflow.
ROI: Return on investment; a credible estimate requires venue-specific assumptions.
